Just put Rufus (the rat) in alcohol! Sorry to the anon who requested a video of the process, I had to do it tonight because my mom would never let me put it in the freezer till tomorrow, and everyone’s home and I just wouldn’t be able to film it. I will try to next time I get something though!

I can tell you what I did: I took an insulin syringe and spent about 30 minutes injecting the body cavity. It would probably be better to cut into the tummy and pour alcohol into the cavity. I didn’t really want to/have time to cut and sew him up. After that, I took a piece of clear thread and tied it around the neck. I did that so I could pull the string over the lip of the jar and close it on it, holding the rat up so he fixes in a nicer position and his ears don’t get folded up against the jar. Then I just put the alcohol in the jar, positioned him, closed it, and cleaned up. :)
